As a general practitioner, Dr. Parekh strives to provide a high-quality, holistic approach to the management of the health and wellbeing of her patients. She is particularly interested in lifestyle medicine and feels passionately about empowering patients to make changes to aspects of their nutrition and lifestyle in order to improve or prevent chronic disease.

Dr. Parekh has experience in all aspects of general practice, including women’s health and children’s health. She is a Portfolio GP in the West Essex and North East London areas. She works as an appraiser and have been involved in facilitating the education of both medical students and GPs in training. She also works with West Essex CCG looking at funding requests and clinical policies.

Dr. Parekh qualified from Guys and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2004 and has worked in teaching hospitals within London gaining experience in many medical and surgical specialities. She decided to focus on general practice, enjoying the breadth of knowledge that is required in this area. She has been practicing as an NHS GP since 2009 and feels having a variety of roles adds to her skillset and ensures she remains at the forefront of changes in medicine.

She is kept busy by her three lively children and enjoys cooking, reading and travelling.
